The term pure CBD can mean different things to different people. One may use it to describe a product in which CBD is the only cannabinoid. Others may describe it as THC-free CBD. And others may refer to pure CBD as clean, well-produced CBD products. Well, none of these definitions are necessarily wrong! So what is pure CBD? We will let you know what it means to us and the rationale behind these other definitions.
What is THC?
Since some folks refer to pure CBD as THC-free CBD products, we should start by knowing what THC is. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the compound that is found in marijuana and hemp plants. It is the one known to produce psychological effects. Since THC exists within the hemp plant, hemp extract products will contain THC unless they go through further refinements.
When To Avoid THC in CBD Products

CBD In Its Purest Form - CBD Isolate
Technically speaking, THC in its purest form is called THC isolate. It is a crystalline powder that removes all other beneficial cannabinoids and compounds from the hemp plant. The hemp plant has over 100 of these beneficial compounds, which produce a combined effect known as the entourage effect. CBD isolate has its uses, but a general consensus is that the full range of cannabinoids gives a wider range of benefits. As for our selection of products, we do not offer CBD Isolate at this time.
