CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the 113 active chemical compounds (cannabinoids) in the hemp plant. Mainly found in the flower and leaves of the plant, the cannabinoids are extracted from hemp. CBD is a powerful cannabinoid that helps to support and balance the body’s endocannabinoid system.
Named for the plant that led to its discovery, the endocannabinoid system is one of the most important physiologic systems involved in maintaining balance in the body. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that interact with cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are found throughout the nervous system and body. The endocannabinoid system acts as a bridge between the body and mind.
Kentucky’s Best Hemp may interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system to reduce pain, anxiety, and regulate sleep/wake cycles.
In short, no. The legal THC level is 0.3% is not enough to produce a euphoric response.
CBD should not show up on a drug test, however if you are using CBD products that contain THC, trace amounts could still be present. In very rare cases this could potentially lead to a positive drug test. Full-spectrum CBD oils and edibles contain 0.3% THC. If taken in excess this could create the potential for levels of THC in your system to be detectable on a test.
No. Our products come from hemp plants, not marijuana. Hemp and marijuana are distant cousins, but hemp only contains 0.3% of THC. Marijuana contains higher percentages. Hemp by nature contains higher levels of Cannabidiol, the non-psychoactive compound.
We only use hemp that was grown in Kentucky under organic conditions. Pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides are never applied to any of our crops. Additionally, we only use farm plots which been pre-screened to ensure no heavy metals are present in the soil.
We use supercritical carbon dioxide extraction; this amazing process has the capability to isolate individual compounds of the hemp plant. Supercritical CO2 fluid extraction (SFCE) gives us a clean and consistent product our customers deserve.
