CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the 113 active chemical compounds (cannabinoids) in the hemp plant. Mainly found in the flower and leaves of the plant, the cannabinoids are extracted from hemp. CBD is a powerful cannabinoid that helps to support and balance the body’s endocannabinoid system.

Named for the plant that led to its discovery, the endocannabinoid system is one of the most important physiologic systems involved in maintaining balance in the body. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that interact with cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are found throughout the nervous system and body. The endocannabinoid system acts as a bridge between the body and mind.
