It is safe to drive because CBD does not impair the parts of the brain that are involved in driving. Taking CBD can alter mood, but does not intoxicate or hinder driving. These could come in handy while driving especially if you experience road rage from time to time!

CBD & THC. What is the difference?

This is a question that a lot of people ask us at Kentucky’s Best Hemp because of the relationship between CBD and THC. Let’s break it down.

CBD vs. Marijuana? Not the same!

CBD is not the same as marijuana. Even though many states have legalized the recreational use of marijuana, it remains illegal in all 50 states to drive while under the influence of the psychoactive drug. In contrast, CBD does not contain enough THC to create a “high”. When taking CBD it is not considered to be driving under the influence because there are no mind-altering effects in comparison to marijuana. The calming effects of CBD should not change your driving capabilities.

What’s the legal limit of THC in CBD?

The legal limit of THC in CBD oil is 0.3%. This amount of THC does not create a “high”. This is why you can drive after taking CBD.

However, CBD changes the mental state resulting in a relaxed state, decreasing excitability and nervousness.
